Yesterday I was recently watching a TV debate on the future on the concept of the brand in the digital world. It reminded me of a conversation I had with Sean Connolly CEO of Conagra about a year ago, “The consumer looks at brands through a lens that’s binary.You’re either contemporary and relevant or you are outdated and irrelevant. That’s why we constantly innovate.” So as I think of the future of brands, therein lies the key to CEOs … while you keep the systemic core of your brand, as the digital world is constantly innovating, so too should you innovate constantly.
