I personally am so impressed with the Millennial generation because it’s the first generation I’ve seen to really integrate purpose and profit. I’m reminded of a conversation I had with John Mackey a few years ago. When I asked John about the role of profits in business he told me, “ Businesses cannot survive without profits, just like my body can’t survive without producing red blood cells, but my purpose is not to produce red blood cells.” I’ve thought of John’s quote many times …  how you’re integrating purpose and profit into your business.
