Nigel Travis, CEO of Dunkin’ Brands and President of Dunkin’ Donuts, dialogs with Robert Reiss about supporting the franchisee in a business that is present in over 40 countries and has approximately 15,000 stores within the combination of Dunkin Donuts and Baskin-Robins locations. Travis explains how communications, constant monitoring of franchisee economics, and anticipating the future receive his most passionate focus, but he emphatically states that his most important responsibility is to his shareholders. Among other subjects Travis touches upon are the business processes for product innovation, franchisee feedback, and the recruitment and motivation of store-level franchisee managers.
